Hi, I’m sandy.
I'm a farmer's son from South West Scotland now living in Windsor.
I spent my youth growing up on our beef, sheep and dairy farm before cutting my teeth on sales and marketing in the drinks industry in London.
There I learnt the importance of brand and the power of great marketing. Done correctly, it can change everything.
Fast forward 10 years and I found myself back in the agricultural industry applying my rather alternative take on marketing to help agricultural brands stand out, get noticed and ultimately grow their businesses.
My Approach
I am firmly of the belief that marketing doesn’t have to be complicated and shouldn’t cost you the earth either - despite what the so-called experts might tell you.
Truth is, you don’t need bigger budgets or more resources. What you really need is better ideas, courage and a willingness to give it a bloody good go.
With these, your marketing can be powerful. It can get your attention. It can surprise you. It can make you like one brand more than another, and make you pay more for it.
This can be done without costing you a fortune.

Underdog brands need underdog thinking. Rather than trying to outspend your competition, you need to out think them.
And the best thing about it is that ideas cost you nothing!
be brave
If you really want your brand to succeed then you can’t do what everyone else is doing. You have to do something different and that requires being brave.
In an industry of conservatism, this is your biggest competitive advantage by a country mile (pun intended!).
